Patient Rights & Responsibilities

At Aoun Care Home Medical Services, we are committed to delivering the highest standards of healthcare, in full compliance with the “Home Healthcare Patient Rights and Responsibilities” charter approved by the Saudi Ministry of Health (MOH).

First: Patient Rights

When receiving services from the Aoun Care team, you have the right to:

  • Respect & Dignity: Receive safe, respectful medical care that honors your cultural and religious values, without discrimination.
  • Knowledge & Transparency: Know the identity and qualifications of the caregiver (doctor, nurse, physiotherapist), and receive a clear, comprehensive explanation of your health condition, treatment plan, and potential risks.
  • Participation & Decision-Making: Actively participate in decisions regarding your treatment, and the right to refuse treatment after being informed of the medical consequences.
  • Privacy & Confidentiality: Ensure strict confidentiality of your medical and personal information, and receive examinations in an environment that guarantees physical privacy.
  • Complaints & Suggestions: The right to submit a complaint or suggestion to the Aoun Care management without it negatively affecting the quality of care provided to you.

Second: Patient Responsibilities (or Guardian)

To ensure the best possible care, the patient or their family is expected to commit to the following:

  • Full Disclosure: Provide accurate and complete information regarding medical history, current medications, and allergies to the Aoun Care medical team.
  • Adherence to Treatment Plan: Follow the instructions and guidelines of the medical staff. The patient bears responsibility for any complications resulting from refusing treatment or failing to follow instructions.
  • Preparing the Care Environment: Provide a safe, hazard-free home environment suitable for the medical staff to perform their duties efficiently (e.g., adequate lighting, ventilation, and securing pets if any).
  • Mutual Respect: Treat all medical and administrative staff with respect and courtesy.
  • Financial Obligations: Commit to paying the due fees to Aoun Care for the services provided at the agreed-upon times.
